Clarissa Hobson (1804-1884) portrayed here by artist Sheldon Peck, was a pioneer settler of DuPage County. In 1830, Clarissa and her husband, Bailey Hobson, undertook the treacherous journey from southern Indiana to what would become DuPage County, Illinois.
